Based on faulty economics and faulty political thinking we've got ourselves into a social, economic and political cul-de-sac.
The system is in breakdown. If we care to look the evidence is all around us, but we are trained not to see it.
If the Earth destroys homes or businesses, people look to their community for support.
The Earth is the master set. Our communities are nested within the master set (A subset) . The economy is a nested within the community. Once you understand that, all the trouble we are currently creating for ourselves makes sense.
Humanity can't get out of this dilemma by doing more of the same. We need to think and act differently.
We have created this economic, political and social cul-de-sac. There is no way to "progress" in that direction. We need to draw back, re-evaluate, rebuild, and re-establish, to find a new direction for human activity on Earth.
Doing something simple, like creating Street Groups, and repairing the community fabric is a good start. We can do practical things in our own area working on a scale we can all understand. In the process we might also find the tools, the inspiration and the knowledge to solve some bigger problems that concern us.
