Street Groups Limited

Street Groups are Useful Because;

We feel more comfortable living in our street when we know more people. That gives you a feeling of security and belonging, that is very valuable. Many people remark about knowing more people.

Other people are generally very helpful and willing to be friendly.

Reports of BAD things are of obvious use to the Street Group — Reporting crime or street damage.

But it's also easy to give stuff away — Garden surplus and produce for instance.

It's easy to organise a street get together: A Saturday morning boot sale, or BBQ

Mum's day at the park with the smallest children. How do I find a baby-sitter?

Help with your computer. Who can teach me how to ?????

I'm halfway through a job, and I need a tool I don't have, to finish it. Who can help?

Can I find a tradesman in the street to help with ?????

As our experience of these groups develops we expect we'll find new ways to be useful to members in practical ways.

What makes human communities satisfied?

1. Openness in the political process. Politics that work.
2. Respect for human rights. Community membership that's respected.
3. Low corruption. Business community and police and courts are transparent.
4. Families are socially and economically stable
5. A high degree of voluntary activity in the community.
6. Support for strong belief systems.

You are the key to your own development. Nobody else can turn that key for you. The key is yourself. Which way will you turn?. In a world where volunteering is to way to the future, what do you choose to do? What do you choose to be?

What you give your attention to is critical. What you think is fundamental to your future.
